The Play’s The Thing, And So Is The New City Website

Forgive my conciseness this evening, there’s lots to tell you and not much time. First, come out to support the kids in the Roy Waldron Drama Team Thursday and Friday nights. It is being held at La Vergne Middle School both nights. The doors will open at 6:40 PM and the play, which is “The Adventures of Flat Stanley”, starts at 7 PM. Tickets are $5 at the door. They are also accepting donations for a fourth grader who is battling leukemia. 🙁 🙁 🙁

Now, for some good news! The new city website is up and it is fabulous! Go check it out: There is a slideshow that appears to only work in Internet Explorer right now, but they are working out those bugs tomorrow. HUGE kudos to Kathy Tyson and Tommy Oliver and the rest of the folks in IT who worked very hard to get it put together. This presents such an incredibly professional and polished image for the city. I know a ton of work went into it, but if you read the article on the city website about it, you’ll be pleased to know that by our city workers building it internally, it saved the city upwards of $60,000. Way to go, you guys!!

What do you think about the new city website?

I’m planning to attend the play on Friday night and I LOVE the new city website! Much more user friendly and very informative whether you are a resident, visitor, or a business! Kudos to the city employees for saving us buttloads of money creating it and how lucky are we to have such wonderful smart employees who would take the time to do this!!! Kudos LaVergne!!

The play was AWESOME last night!! And I’m not just saying that because my kid is in it lol. Everyone involved with the drama team and the production have worked very hard and did an incredible job. Can’t wait to see it again tonight!

The picture does not represent lavergne at all. Where are the weekly rentals, scrap yards, junkyards, and the pawnshops that makes lavergne what it is? The armpit of middle tennessee. Oh don’t forget, tennessee’s largest trailer park. Ha,ha

Do you not have anything better to do than come on here and be so negative? Seriously, grow up and take it somewhere else.
