La Vergne TN Wants Costco!

I just got back from Costco. I gave up my Sam’s Club membership years ago in favor of a Costco membership, because Costco has things I need at excellent prices. I’ll give you an example. The Kirkland brand (which is Costco’s house brand) of dog and cat food is a very high quality dog and cat food. I had a cat who was allergic to corn, wheat and soy, which is found in almost all brands of cat food that you can buy at the regular store. (Kroger, Target, Wal Mart, etc.) So I was going to PetSmart and spending a fortune on dog and cat food so there was no corn, wheat or soy in their food. I read online about the Kirkland brand of cat and dog food, and that’s when I got a Costco membership. I save a TON of money on just that alone.

But there is so much more there that is awesome, that I usually make the hike to Cool Springs twice a month and buy all manner of items there. The majority of stuff I buy there is grocery related but I also bought my very favorite pair of work pants there and I also buy paper products there like paper towels and paper plates.

I’m not writing so much to sell you on Costco, however, rather, I am writing to sell Costco on coming to La Vergne. There would be a great place for it over behind Target off Industrial Boulevard. And Costco would be able to get a ton of customers there, I believe. They would have both La Vergne and Smyrna, plus they would be able to get customers from Murfreesboro and all the people from points further south who go to Murfreesboro to shop. I know my parents who live in Murfreesboro have said if Costco was in La Vergne, they would give up their Sam’s Club membership in favor of Costco. They like Costco much better, but Murfreesboro is so far from Cool Springs.

Alderman Broeker at the Town Hall meeting said that they had spoken to Costco at the International Shopping Center Conference in La Vegas last year and La Vergne was in the running.

So, I urge you to join me in requesting that Costco bring a location to La Vergne. Use this link to email Costco and request that they bring a location to La Vergne, Tennessee. You can always link to this post or you can give them your own reasons that you would like a Costco in La Vergne.

What do you think, La Vergne? What else would you like to see coming here?

I would like to have a nice, locally owned coffee shop, where you can hang out and have sandwiches until late in the evening. Bonus points if they have open mic nights for local musicians.

Love love love Costco but hate driving almost 45 minutes or more to go there! Moved here from San Diego area 2 years ago where Costco was everywhere. I miss being able to stop in last minute and pick up dinner for the family or a party tray for a group gathering. Please come to my area!!!

HOW I would love a Costco here!! I refuse to drive 45 minutes to get their savings. I’d use up the savings in the cost of gasoline. I have been asking for one locally for years!

Heard there is a Costco in our future on the corner of Sam Ridley and Old Nashville Hwy.

It would be such a great thing if it built one in Lavergne, Smyrna or Murfreesboro.
