There are lots of cool things going on in the city that you can take part in! Don’t forget that Friday is Dinner Theater at Roy Waldron School. 7 PM. be there.
Also, there’s a benefit for Ricky Quinn, a city employee and a fireman who is fighting for his life against cancer. There will be a softball tournament at Veteran’s Memorial Park the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd to benefit him and his family. Put together your best athletes and sign your team up for $150, or if you’re not an athlete, come on out anyway and buy some food or bid on the silent auction. Here is a flyer with more information:
So, the 29th is going to be a busy day, in addition to Trail of Treats (2-4, Veteran’s Memorial Park, come on out and see us, TiLV will be there), the city is hosting a drug take-back from 10 AM until 2 PM. That’s happening at City Hall, and yes, I will be there, haha. Hit the link for more info.
Finally, if you have a hunger for books and can’t get enough, follow Oliver Twist’s example in the Charles Dickens novel. Ask for more. Feed your mind.
It will be easy to feed your mind this weekend at the LaVergne Public Library. From 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m this Saturday, October 15th., the fall book sale is taking place. Typically hundreds of books are available for purchase ranging from children’s books to novels. This could be a great way to start some early Christmas shopping!
There are lots of ways to get out and get involved, which ones will you choose?
