I saw this on my friend Angie’s Facebook status update and thought it would be something really important to share here. Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps is coming to Nashville via McGavock High School on February 19th and 20th. The medical entourage is seeking help from local dentists, dental hygienists, optometrists, ophthalmologists and opticians.
With more than 600 missions throughout the U.S. already completed – including one in L.A. where 10,000 people were helped – the two-day health clinic is open to anyone within the Channel 4 viewing area. It is advised that people arrive by 3:00 a.m. each morning in order to get help at this first-come, first-served clinic.
“We’re having a free medical mission for patients without health insurance, people unable to pay for health insurance,” Sanfilippo said. “We will provide free vision care, medical care and dental care as well.”
