Let’s shift our focus for a few moments from the present to the future. If you have kids who get bored easily during the summer, the city offers a Summer Camp. Here’s the 411 from the city,
Don’t forget that Summer Camp sign-ups will take place on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at the Parks and Recreation Building, 294 Sand Hill Road in La Vergne.
Summer camp is a six-week program, running from June 14 – July 2 and July 12 – 30. Cost is: $25 registration fee per child, plus $60 a child for each week the child attends.Camp runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Before care is available for $10 per child per week. Before care runs from 7 – 8 a.m. After care also costs $10 per child per week. It runs from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
This is a day camp that runs Monday through Friday and takes place at Roy Waldron School.
Only the first 50 children will be accepted. After that number, they will be placed on a waiting list.
For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Department at 793-3224.
While my photo has nothing to do with Waldron Elementary or the location of the sign-ups, it – somehow – reminds me of kids therefore here it is.
