What an terrible day. We really got hammered with water. We watched as my neighbors swing set was almost totally covered with water (so that would make the water about 6 feet high!). Fortunately my neighbors back yard flows down so neither his house nor mine were in any imemediate danger. With the way the water was flowing down the street, tomorrow we will re-christen our street as canal street.

For those who live in apartments, they don't need flood insurance, just renters insurance. It's the building that needs flood insurance, and probably has it.

I am not in a flood plain, and yet the amount of water really made me nervous. If you are in a flood plain, you are supposed to have flood insurance just for times like this.
