Earth Day is April 22nd

Just a couple more days until Earth Day!  I don’t care if you’re pink, purple, blue, left, right, center, sideways, or upside down, taking care of our planet is never a bad thing.   Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment.

To this end, the city of LaVergne is hosting its inaugural Earth Day event at Veteran’s Park!  From the city:

On April 22, from 5 – 7 p.m., the Parks and Recreation Department is having the inaugural Earth Day event. To showcase the day, the department is urging citizens, community groups and more to come help clean Veteran’s Memorial Park, 115 Floyd Mayfield Drive. For more information, contact Parks and Recreation at 793-3224.

What a great opportunity to spend time with people from the community while working toward a good cause… cleaning our park!  I hope to be there depending on another appointment I’m already obligated to attend.
